I am delighted to welcome you to our school website!

I have worked at Thornton Dale school since 2015, teaching our Nursery class at the time.

In 2019 I joined the Senior Leadership Team and I was then appointed as Head of School in 2020, working alongside an experienced Executive Headteacher.

I have continued my leadership journey into 2022 and now work as Headteacher at Thornton Dale Primary School.
Our school converted to an Academy in 2019, joining Elevate Multi Academy Trust. Since then, we have been on a rapid journey of improvement and I am so proud of our achievements so far. Staff, parents, governors and most importantly, our amazing children, have all worked tirelessly together to achieve our shared vision of being a safe, happy school, where we have extremely high expectations and believe that all children can achieve their absolute best. Our innovative approach to teaching combines a rigorous and progressive approach to teaching and delivering the curriculum, combined with adaptive practice that listens and responds to pupils' views, ideas and interests.
